Founded in 2017, Bound is an independent digital consultancy working across Experience Design, Commerce and Platforms, and Mobile Applications to create change and drive impact. Through strategic thinking, human-centred design and technology solutions, Bound’s specialist teams provide advice and execution services to ASX100-listed companies, government departments and any organisation seeking to scale up, improve experiences, increase revenue or accelerate delivery.

Challenge

Shelley is hands on sourcing projects and looking after staff needs. She helps the project managers straighten out processes by pre-populating data for ongoing projects and invoicing.

“Some of our projects involve a lot of people, several budgets across different timeframes… It’s about the quality of information. If I’m not getting the correct information at the start of setting up a project or a person, the outcome is inaccurate.” — Shelley, Chartered Accountant

Shelley’s role as a Chartered Accountant requires strong communication tools and an accurate system to develop processes that lead to high quality project outcomes.

Before Projectworks, creating clean processes was a significant pain point for Bound.

“Previously we used another software program for timesheets, but it was very clunky. It wasn’t a smooth process…Reporting was limited or difficult to achieve. It was no longer meeting our Company’s needs so that’s why we moved to Projectworks.”

The Solution

For Shelley to confidently gather all the relevant data and have set processes for her work, she needed a platform to run smoothly and all in one place. Projectworks provided an intuitive system for the whole team.

“The most valuable thing for me is time sheeting and invoicing. It’s such a smooth process compared to where we used to be. The fact that it syncs across to Xero for our financial reporting is a key factor. Also the process of leave requests going straight through to Xero payroll is fantastic.”

Projectworks also gives Bound’s team members the permissions that they need to do their job. From staff who use the basic access like entering timesheets to project managers who seek exposure to budgets and resourcing.

The Result:

  • Quality project planning
  • Synchronised invoicing and time sheeting
  • Streamlined integration processes

Having an all-in-one system that integrates with other supporting platforms allows Shelley and the Bound team to confidently plan and track their people and projects.

“Our team is really happy with what Projectworks does and everyone is quite comfortable with the program as it’s such an easy system to use.”

For Shelley the platform facilitates her day-to-day productivity and supports her to oversee both the projects and the financial side of the business.

“The fact that it does link into Xero is very handy. And it’s just easy. Timesheets. Invoices, done.”

Shelley and the team at Bound are more on-top of their projects and collaboration than ever before. We look forward to seeing how Bound develops using Projectworks in the future, and continuing to support their successes.
